    What's going on?

Sorry guys my bad. My little finger accidentally flicked the 'close thread' button while I was reading the thread earlier on. I'm blaming the Ipad.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Anyway apparently Sam Darley has successfully completed a physical. WOOF have been over that story for days.

Rate young Dylan, we should have a really big crack at getting him.
Would be a win all around, gain him as a player and some of his family I know left us and became members at GWS to support him.
They have already said they would come back to the Doggies if he joined us.

Not to bad TD, it was going around in circles anyway.

Would take a lot to get Shiel. He's the sort of player Melbourne would be looking at giving pick #2 to so I'm not sure what other clubs could offer for him given that by now most players are locked away.

What if we offered up pick 4 and Shaun Higgins ?

I would consider pick 4 alone.

If Melbourne offer pick 2, pick 4 alone will not get the job done.

But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Agree. A known quantity and a gun player, I'd take that deal in a heartbeat.

Not as exciting as the "what's in the box, what's in the box" of an unknown kid with potential, but recent history shows (Swallow, Scully, Trengove, Watts etc) that the kid is only a chance of being a gun player.

What is the hold up with trading activity. So many proposed deals around the league but no action?
It's like trade constipation. Is it just going to build up until there is a massive series of almighty trade farts at the last minute???

Certainly is and you will still get clubs saying they didn't get one through in time, 10 days is plenty not 3 weeks, this won't happen again that's for sure.

It's been over engineered and should only be a two week window. I suppose like most years everything is being held up by one or two trades and once they get completed then the flood gates will open.

I suspect that it will be a bumper trade period for player moves but so far it's been a fizzer.

It's laughable that the AFL thought extending the trade period would resolve any sort of 'stand off' issues that happen yearly when it comes to sides pushing out their chests.

Should have been left at one week, though given the AFL wants as much coverage as possible, two weeks can suffice.
