Laughable, I wouldn't even give a third round pick for Varcoe.

Never rated him, even when the hype machine around him was in full flight.

In all fairness he was coming off a considerable injury setback and was pretty rusty. He's a good player but not worth an early pick. Macca has a relationship with him and he's only 25.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

I'd take Varcoe, if fit, with a draft pick around 25-30.

He really dominated the 2011 GF. Provided a prime example of how you don't need a lot of touches to influence a game heavily.

But, if Geelong are prepared to be rid of him, he's either risky or a player that asks for too much. He's been injured, maybe too injured.
          TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Apparently we've put up pick 4 and Picken for John Patton.

Sounds good ,Picken is past his prime and starting to drop away for us but in saying that GWS would need a player of his type

Why would Gws give up Patton?

To add some depth to the squad. They need some more experienced players and maybe Patton hasn't quite made his mark with them.

I think that's the case. And if they get pick 4 they can on trade it for another player.
I think it's a given they won't trade out for Boyd, and maybe they see they have an asset that many teams would like.

Well T and T I'm not so sure why but he has been to two clubs I know of down here so something is going on with Patton or he wouldn't be looking around.
