Thought our big blokes were very good in conditions that didn't suit them. Both Cordy and Redpath started the game very well, hitting the scoreboard and marking the ball strongly.
Ayce in particular took some very strong marks in the game and kicked accurately when he had the opportunity. His goal in the last sealed the win.
Jones took a couple of very strong marks and should of finished the game with 3 goals. Took a pretty big knock early which seemed to shake him up but thought he contributed well.
Campbell is very good at VFL level he marks the ball strongly and is rarely beaten in the ruck. Liked his game.
Out of the smaller guys really rated the work rate of JJ and Hunter. Both could be in line for a call up on that performance.
Jong and Goodes did the grunt work in the middle of the ground. Goodes was BOG for mine with Jong also in the bests.
In the backs Talia, Austin and Roberts beat their men most of the day and were serviceable. Thought it was the best game I've seen Darley play, with his kicking very good throughout the game.
Pearce will be better for the run.
Pretty good performance by the lads in very tough conditions, was happy to leave the place with the four points.
"Loves a scrap....oh yeah & he's a pretty handy footballer as well"
Stringer was ok, played pretty much all day in the midfield. Took the game on and used his speed to advantage a number of times. Won a number of clearances in the last quarter.
