Only last week I bought three backyard dogs memberships to help the club.
It's a fair point. I have a silver reserved seat membership. Got a home and away one this year. What membership do you have BAD?

Yes that's quite a more expensive one. You would like to think you get lots of benefits from that.

Add 6 VFL memberships to the total. One a Hawthorn supporter and 2 former Essendon supporters. A group of us are using the Footscray team to convert casual non-Bulldogs supporting locals to start going to some VFL games as a social gathering, with the view to converting them to Bulldogs AFL supporters eventually.

Got to admit, I feel a bit dudded by this, too. I've dug pretty deep for a platinum membership this year and was under the impression that it would get me into WO for the twos. Ah well, into the pocket I go again!... It just means that my little bloke will probably miss out on a new jumper this season..

                  Re: Footscray Membership

I'm not unhappy with the move as long as the change was clearly communicated beforehand.

At least you can actually see the benefits your extra money provides the club and by extension us, the supporters.

I've said a few times before it would have been great to be around in the 70s and 80s followings the Dogs playing out of the real home. Was born in 89 and starting barracking for the Doggies from 2001 and didn't get the opportunity but now with VFL footy it opens up chances for the younger fans especially to get a taste of the old days.

I think that's the point in this issue. It wasn't communicated beforehand and I was under the impression (as was BAD) that I was buying access to both. The FFC membership was only recently announced - after we'd already renewed.

I'm not outraged or anything. In fact I will fork out for one. However I do feel a bit disappointed by the way they seem to have handled it. Just a principle thing. They could do a lot worse to me and I'd keep coming back.

                        Re: Footscray Membership

We have a family premiership gold on level two and only get to a few games a year so I understand the need for value.

The communication issue is regrettable for sure but I get a lot of emails that I don't really read in detail so maybe it had already been communicated??

I have come to the realisation that because there are less of us Dogs supporters each of us needs to do more for the club than perhaps a Collingwood supporter would. It's that or no Bulldogs and that would destroy me.

The Libba injury hurt but loved it a few weeks back as well in our first nab challenge match at WO. Great atmosphere coming in from Southern Cross with the train and coming back home with the train back to Southern Cross.

Yeah so you can cancel those 6 Footscray memberships. The club in its infinite wisdom has decided on the day to turn away any supporter with a dog. So we have to go home instead of going to the game. No communication, no reason for the change, just "the club's decided and that's all you need to know". This despite supporters lining up out the front to have their photo taken with him.

We're the last club that needs to invent reasons to turn away supporters. Anyway we'll be returning our memberships. Jarrad in events take a bow!

Might be OH&S issues. Also what if 300 people turn up with dogs? Sorry but I tend to think footy is not the place for dogs. Once again I am sorry and not wanting to upset you......
