    Yep, that makes sense. That way you can explain away any historical inaccuracies to nerds like me. It's what I'd do.

      That's how I took it. Was happy to just accept it as an alternate version of Earth during the same medieval era.

      Most of the finale was very satisfying, but it was very different to season 1 which wrapped up some story arcs neatly allowing the the 'clash of kings' stuff to take place. This one branched off in so many directions it was hard to get a good grip of where season 3 will take us.

                  After watching the season 2 finale I need more G.O.T!

                  So I bought the book (from a bookshop!) A Storm of Swords. Will prob save it for the trip but can't wait to get into it.
