        Probably sums me up!

Mind you having been born and bred a stones throw from Whitten Oval but now living up North, i still do ask for Potato "Cakes" which probably leads to a bug bear i have up here for another post in another time, fish and chips are generally bloody lousy up here and decent one's are not easy to find.

I guess to a chef parma is a type of ham, shortening Parmigiana to Parmi makes more sense.

I read its a melbourne thing, the rest of the country are 50/50 but you guys are 70/30 Parma/Parmi

That's another bug bear, if it doesn't have ham forget about it, a bit like potato cakes up here, some are that powder crap and not real potato's, it's appalling, add that to no steamed dimmy's or jars of pickled onions up here, it's just not right!

I do find it funny how triggered people get by it. Give me a steak any day.

I must admit I don't think I've had one is 4 or 5 years. I'd prefer to order a Chicken Schnitzel.

I rarely order a pub steak these days. And never on a mid-week designated pub steak night. Just find I can do a better one at home a lot of the time.

There are some exceptions of course. I recently enjoyed one at Cinder that was exceptional, while have also had great steaks at Fitzroy Town Hall and Marquise of Lorne.

Usually if I do I'll go for a flank or cut that isn't eye, rib-eye, porta or scotch to make the most of the temperatures professional kitchens can generate over and above the ones I can at home.
                        TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

It's the SYD v Melb thing. I'm sure no one really cares and as G says, give me a schnitzel with Gravy!

We never had schooners here now they are omnipresent.

I remember back in the early 2000's a Sydney Thooey's Brewery bought a bunch and changed them from Carlton to Toohey's Pubs... yep... only sold schooners.

Was good though made for a cheap Friday night after work. 4 schooners for $20 and a $10 parma home and in bed by 9pm.
More of an In Bruges guy?

I actually love a pub that sells pints in the old style glass with a handle.
Jacko style if your old enough to remember love thy neighbour.
                                Country pubs still have them.
