Yep. We did decades ago a few times. We also took our son when he was a little tacker and played pool with some friends a few times whilst he crawled around in the carpet. One of the visits the person at reception raised a kiddie’s soft ball from behind the front desk and shook it (it had a bell inside it) and asked us “Is this yours?”. Indeed it was. Suppose they didn’t have many (then young) parents with baby in tow visiting them (apart from Hose!).

Good to hear it’s still going.

Yeah they've always had nice staff there. No way i could have been bothered carrying a baby up all those stairs Josie! Mine were 8 and 10.

Shows how desperate we were to get out of the house. Embarrassingly I think we used one of those baby harness & an extension leash and tied our crawling son to billiard table leg we were playing on. I think I’d be arrested for that today.

Have booked a table in the dining area at the Steam Packet Hotel in Williamstown next Saturday night with the family for my birthday.

Should be a good night.

Mlb Uni purchased Prince Alfred 5 or so years ago. Think they still own it.

Thanks for the belly laugh, Josie. I had a great time and managed to get through in 3 years. Went to La Trobe. Was in the first intake of 450 students - 1967.

Used to frequent the Summerhill at Nortland, the Old England in Heidelberg, the Lower Plenty and the Mernda pub.

Played a lot of pool at the PA. Great pub. Met a lot of desperates there - not many of them were uni students - just young guys and gals out on the tare.

New Year's Eve celebrations at Lorne were epic. I had the best of times.
