England v Australia, Fourth Ashes Test, Nottingham

Haven't heard much about the track thus far but rumours are that Australia will be unchanged which is a brave call either way.

Looks like it will just be Wood for Anderson for England.

I like our chances here considering how flawed these two sides are, I just think Australia has that bit more improvement left.

Australia just have to play test cricket properly to win. It's a better fielding and bowling team. If the batsmen can just remember they are playing in a test match (the whites are a bit of a giveaway) then we should win by an innings.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

What's the weather like in Blighty? A lot better than it is in Melbourne hopefully.

Late mail is it's a swap of the Marsh brothers as the Aussie change. I like it, if an all-rounder doesn't deserve to bat in the top 6 you can't accommodate. Although if it is the change, I'd prefer Siddle over Starc also

Fair enough S.Marsh in, but really thought it should've been for Voges. M.Marsh has batted no worse than Voges and his overs have been useful.

I agree about replacing Starc. I'd even be tempted to give Ahmed a Test (especially if the pitch is drier). The Poms hate leggies and have not looked comfortable against Lyon.

Rogers records his first duck in test cricket, and would be disappointed with his effort.

Two down in the first over. Not a good start.

Did Ian Healy just claim Otis Gibson's teeth were white when celebrating the Rogers wicket when comparing him to Jimmy Anderson's subdued reaction?

                  Three down in seven balls.

                  What a blood bath.

Whatever happens, this is the worst start I've ever seen. Unbelievable, almost.

Clarke has one less life now........that was so close to being out.

That was nearly the fourth wicket. Bloody hell.

It's amazing what a bowler can achieve with a good seam position.

Smith, irrespective of his fantastic 18 months, needs to adjust his technique. He's gotten out to balls that for a batsman with a normal stance would've been uneventful leaves. Ridiculous technique for the conditions and the circumstances.

Wow. Will we get to 50 runs? Serious question. Will we get to lunch? Serious question.
