Remember them beating a severely understrengthed Arsenal outfit in the first game .
That's not my memory. I remember going 1 down away to them. Then blowing them away after half time, I think it was 4-1 at one stage. But I don't remember them being "severely understrength" at all and not nearly as understrength as the team you were lucky to hang on to this morning. But I'm loving how even the "top 6" is.

They were defensively short for that game . Plenty of games where teams have been " unlucky " this season .

They were missing their 4 best CBs and had to partner Holding and Chambers.

Yea I don't think Klopp's way would hold up if we had Europe, we just cover so much more ground with the press. Maybe the same with Conte and his way, but yea there is still plenty to go plus we have had our fair share of injuries and outs already.

I don't want to go on about it but isn't Monreal and Bellerin in their best? I agree on the two you mention but we did have Klavan and Moreno, the latter I wouldn't play for the U/23s he is a shocker and no wonder we gave Alexander-Arnold his debut at United.

Fwiw it was a cracking attacking game with not much thought put into defending, had shades of 13/14 about it. 4-1 down and they had plenty of time in the end to snatch a draw. Liverpool Arsenal can never be said they are not entertaining.

Good result for Chelsea and Spurs but both still have to come to Anfield and will have to face a stronger 11 than that.
You forgot that Swansea still had to come to anfield .

Huge games for us and Arsenal now with Pool slipping up and United, City and Spurs all dropping points.

What got to keep building that gap.

Back to second on the table but still trailing by 8 points. Those 5 draws so far are killing us.

Fractured skull and bleeding on the brain, surprised Cahill kept playing.

Got the job done without being impressive. Huge couple of games coming up away to Pool and home to the Gooners.
