How did Cam White fail to get a hand on that effort?

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

10 overs to go and England sit on 200. If we can keep them to 260 I think we are on the money although a couple of wickets soon could see that as a high target

We need a wicket or two, Waokes and Buttler are going OK

Fantastic partnership for England 300 a real chance with one over to go.
Basically they've gone at 10 runs and over for the last nine overs.

This Aussie umpire has been killing us this series with overly aggressive 'umpire call' LBWs. Where did Alem Dar go so fast? There should be two international umpires each game.

I think that's Cam White done. Ordinary effort in the field when he's normally pretty good, and very ordinary shot selection to get out when promoted to three.

To be fair, he was done three years ago. If bbl form was the main factor in selection, D'Arcy Short had more claim to the spot. In all as per convo in the last page, the selectors have a lot of stuff to work out with the ODI squad going ahead to the next WC.

Tend to agree, he looks a step off the mark.

I don't recall him being a number three, perhaps I've missed something these past few years. It's almost as if he was set up to fail, and that in lieu of a more highly performed bat being left out of the squad because the captain doesn't like him we were scratching for an option (that last point is tongue in cheek, Maxwell isn't a first drop either).

Khawaja is, but the selector/s tend to like him bash around for the Sydney Thunder to win in succession.

The selection from the last WC is bizarre to say the least.

Can Khawaja turn his arm over at all in ODI's? If so, having a number three who can do that would be a solid asset.

We needed to clear the boundary in the last five overs tonight, in what was actually a pretty good run chase. Our close-out bowling wasn't where it needed to be, what we totaled with the bat would have been enough to win a large number of ODI's. If you're going to play White, that's the role he plays.
