Bancroft out caught behind again. Flapping his bat well away from his body again.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Both sides will feel they let an opportunity slip. South Africa dropped chances and burnt reviews, Australia didn't go on with starts.

It's a pretty slow wicket, Lyon should be a factor.

Would think that if we can make 350+ we will be in a strong position, and given our depth in batting this is a realistic total.

First hour on Day 2 will be critical.

Yep. Gotta get our heads down and bat through the first couple of hours.

350 would be a good score. The average 1st innings total on that ground is around 280. Agree that 350 is realistic, given how well Cummins and Starc bat - and provided one of Marsh or Paine can make 60-70+.

Play starts at 9pm our time is that right?

It's only now that I begin to understand how much quality test cricket we missed out on between us and SA due to the aperthid sporting bans.

I would think working back from that time would give you your answer TD.........

Batsmen seem to be struggling and then after the fall of 2 wickets, out comes Mitchell Starc and smashes them around.

Won't need to maintain it for long to really turn this into a good competitive score.

Starc out and lunch taken , but the score has got to 300, which is apparently above par for the ground.

The spinner has 4 wickets. Maybe Lyon can be important with the ball.

351 a good score on this ground. Mitch Marsh brain fade to miss 100, making 96 great effort. Has had some pretty good innings over the last few months.
