May as well forfeit once you're caught cheating. A win would be tainted.

Maybe that's their way of doing it.

South Africa happily celebrated their win last tour here in Australia, despite their captain being done for ball tampering in a premeditated act of cheating. Bizarrely the Australian media congratulated them on a hard fought win and criticized Australia for their poor performance.

Sportsman cheat all the time, but we don't seem to care in some sports.

Ball tampering is bad, but what I would love to know, how often does it happen with teams around the world. I would say lots, at a guess.

I remember when reverse swing first started to become a thing they would call it the dark art of fast bowling. Was that because they had to illegally scuff the ball to make it work? It was easier to do back then because umpires weren't expecting bowlers to scuff the ball.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Plus not as many cameras on the ground to pick it up.

                  Australia's cricket crisis is over:

                  England
                  58 & 320 (126.1 ov)

                  New Zealand
                  427/8d

New Zealand won by an innings and 49 runs.

I wouldn't mind going through some more recent footage of test cricket of each team of the ten overs before the ball started to reverse swing. Then we can see how smug the Swans and the Broads of the world are.

Broad must have incredible vision to pick up the Aussie ball tampering when he’s standing on the square leg umps toes every ball !
I think we’ve seen the last of Warner ( he’s gone rogue by all reports ) hopefully this crappy personal sledging goes as well

Apparently the bowlers have revolted on the suburban boy saying that he hatched the plan with Bancroft and that Smith just listened to it. Warner's not keen to take the hit and isn't happy with his team mates.

I actually feel a bit sorry for Warner, Smith and Bancroft but I hope the pending bans send a strong message. Lehmann's absence from making comments doesn't bode well for him either. It will be interesting to see if it's Ponting and Langer that takes over.

TBH never really liked the current Australian team. Act like bozos a lot of the time. What ever happened to the gentleman's game? Now SA have taken it to another level.

Cheers but I wish you'd stop calling him that. Everytime I see it the bloody song goes through my head. And for some reason I know every word to it.

I don't blame the bowlers. They are a world class unit and I wouldn't want to be associated with siome of the batsmen who's names won't go down in history.

I have never warmed to the team over the Steve Smith captaincy era. His team's swagger around like they are the GOAT when in reality they are struggling to attain the Flat Track Bully level.

It's a good thing there isn't much international cricket coming up for Australia. Hopefully they use the time put a structure in place with values and a good culture around the national team.

Think it needs to be cleaned out completely to get rid of the culture .. Like when the WSC days started , whole new bunch of kids with integrity and an understanding of what it means to represent your country.
Backing the team wouldn't take long to bounce back, huge amoun of talent in Australia that didn't get picked due to smith and Lehmann mates club getting games before them.
