Having said that, our batting line-up is only slightly better judging from our stuttering display yesterday - we just have the edge with the bowlers when it comes to overall weapons and variety.

On a side note, does anyone else have significant question marks on DRS and ball-tracking? Some of the calculations in this test have defied belief. I really dislike that the system gives the umpires the benefit of the doubt, and as a result they are giving previously stonewall LBW's not out because "umpire's call" gives them so much leeway. The Steve Smith one last night against Maharaj just had to be given out on the field.
DRS is a joke (especially for LBWs) - the BCCI was right to reject this flawed tech for so long.

Re: 2018 Tour of South Africa

DRS has cricket in the worst of both worlds. Umpires don't want to make decisions because they don't want to be shown up by the technology and the technology isn't up to the job they expect it to do. I'm sceptical about the calculations they use for ball tracking because they never explain them. Who judges what data they use? What do they allow for wind and humidity? (do they allow for wind and humidity at all?) have they taken any measurement or use any data of the actual ball they are using out in the middle?

I don't trust it until they explain how they are doing it to us properly. I'd rather we ditched it until they can get it right and explain how they got it right.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Faf has just been bowled by Cummins now 4 for 49.

Looks like the batsman have been studying at the French college of Capitulation.

WTF was Lyon doing with the ball after Faf's run out? Looked like he dropped it on Faf's head while he was still outstretched on the ground.

It was Lyon being a dickhead. Now that he's traded in his previous missus for a younger model he's strutting around like a bogan farkwit. Gun bowler, shit bloke.

Gee that was a good nut by Hazelwood that just got rid of De Bruyn. Our bowling line-up is world class and can't be kept out forever.

Actually think it was De Villears not Faf. Shit thing to do though. Why does bowling spin for Australia seems to involve being a bit if a dickhead as well?

Great fightback by SA. Markham with 140 and DeKock 78no. Not without a chance.

We were only ever a wicket away. SA came close but they were never on the box seat.

                        Great test match cricket though.

Now footage of Warner having a crack at the SAF bats in a stairwell at yesterday's tea break has emerged:

The Australian cricket team seems to find a way to out-wanker itself year on year.
                            TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Possibly. It just always seems that a common denominator prevails when it comes to how we carry on.
