Yea I remember that Costa was at his best that day and got away with murder. There was a petition that was signed by 60 odd thousand for dean to never be in charge of Arsenal again. Wasn’t he caught celebrating you getting scored against one day?

Correct. He retired from international football after he *!*!*!*!ed up writing the names in his little book and ended up giving Josip Simunic 3 yellow cards (the last one was right on the final whistle for dissent). IIRC the big irony was that Simunic (like a lot of his Croation teammates) was actually born in Australia! Poll blamed a difference between the way the EPL and the WC Poll stated that he had erred in his second booking of Šimunić, marking his card with the correct number (3) but in the wrong column, meaning he had no record of the previous booking when showing Šimunić his second card apparently the EPL has a different method for noting down numbers and keeping up with cards issued.

It's funny (and a little bit suss) how pretty much everyone in the stadium and watching knew the mistake straight away. Anyway Poll immediately retired (and was sacked less than a week later) from international football but continued to referee EPL and Champions League matches for a while after.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

                  Re: EPL Season 2018/19

Sorry i should have explained it a bit better atm we have all these academy kids coming through who are deserving of a chance yet arent getting much of a look in.

Tammy Abraham is killing it yet again in the championship and should be atleast our number 2 striker.
Reece James is the best RB in the Championship, will get in the team of the year and should be in our squad now.
Loftus-Cheek should be starting week in week out over Kovacic whos such a nothing footballer.
Hudson-Odoi should be our nailed on RW, shit Bayern Munich want to buy him for £40m which is ridiculous money for a raw 18 year old.
Christensen another acamedy kid should be starting over Luiz.
Mason Mounts another whos good enough at least for a squad spot.
Ake who was MOTM against us this morning should be our starting CB.

All these guys have been in and around the club for 10 years now, have come through dominating world youf football in arguably the best acamedy in the world. These are who i want in the team having a crack.

Im more talking about the guys who pick and choose when they want to play, sadly it seems to be a Chelsea trait every couple of years.

Higuain is Sarris choice so im not sure he fits in that category.

Perfect explanation, cheers. It's weird to see Chelsea with youth players coming through

Right. I find it frustrating in the epl how some managers/clubs do not give very good young players games. Much prefer to persist with the status quo.

Also why do managers bring on a player with 1 or 2 minutes to go. Usually the game is over and the player just wanders on and doesn't get a touch.

They are just time outs really nowadays. Soak up some injury time, given most of them take place in the 90th+ minute.

Check with Rooner, he will give you a pretty rational assessment of Liverpool's chances.
