He opened the bowling for WA with Denis Lillee as well.

Actually I was wrong. He opened the batting for WA but not with DK!

And his brother umpired a ODI match between Windies and England back in the '80s

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Reasonable performance from Wolves this morning but Liverpool are just too good. Too creative, too clinical. Wolves create ok chances but don’t have the class up front to finish. Van Dijk killed us. He was enormous

That would be why he only ever umpired one ODI and no tests I guess.

Van Dijk is the best in the world as far as I’m concerned.

Heard tonight 8 of the last 9 seasons the team leading at Xmas has won the league .
The only team who hasn’t was Liverpool in 13/14.
As much as it’s incredibly excruciating to the extreme to say , but I think it’s Your lots to lose Rooner

You know I think we were on top in 09 and lost as well so that’d make us the last 2. You can have that and I’ll raise you a last time Palace beat City away was in 1990, we won that year.

City are far too good to not come again, I didn’t want to get to the front this early but we got too go for it now. We have them away on the 4th so we got to go after them.

Gerard said "we can't let this one slip boys" and then promptly slipped over himself the next game. 8 of the last 10 clubs to lead the table at Christmas have gone on to win the league. Liverpool is the club to lose from the top at Xmas both times.

They appear to be a different team under Klopp. Hopefully they can last the distance this time.
Still find it hard to believe that Liverpool have not won a Premier League title. From winning the old First Division 11 times in the '70s and '80s to zilch in the last 28 years.
