There are some exciting young players (Pucovski, Singha etc) why not expose them to the test team at number 6? If they are good enough they'll make a go of it.

Because we have an unhealthy obsession with playing one or more Marshes... But I actually agree the concept. Finch still looks a million miles off, Handscomb still has the same issues, Marsh scores 0-9 in 41% of his test innings career. If we are going with re-treads then Matty Wade has at least scored test centuries before. We will lose all test summer, at least exposing kids to the level is going to help them with experience. Who knows? Maybe the might do well. They certainly can't do worse than this top 6.

The answer to our top order woes is staring us in the face - the GOAT just hit 62 runs without being dismissed to go along with 8 wickets - get him up the order!

Agree in theory, wouldn't do it with Pucovski though, purely because of his recent issues.

He's a huge talent but just with the concussion and mental health issues, I'd rather we really treat him with some kid gloves.

The issue is with the openers.

                Renshaw in, Finch out.

He should open the batting and open the bowling? Who was the last test cricketer to do that? Garth Sobers?

Has renshaw done enough? Burns perhaps?

Finch has to go or the selectors have to go.

I'd be surprised if they made any change, Finch would be close to bullet proof for us.

I'm a critic of Shaun Marsh but today's inning is a classic example of why the selectors get sucked in. He looked good, got an unlucky dismissal with the faintest of edges and he just made enough runs to whet the appetite for a couple of more chances.

Questions should be asked as to whether Khawaja was ready? failed both innings. Lets face it, if the top order had hung around and worked a little bit harder we win the test match.

Its the worst result possible. We lost and Marsh made enough runs for the selectors (or dad as he calls him) to justify picking him again.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
