Also - I officially do not rate Simmons. Good defender, athletic, can look good on transition ... but he's annoying to watch. REFUSES TO SHOOT. Literally under the ring then and still refused.

Don't worry. He's getting is long overdue whacks in the US media now. Even his own coach and teammate have had a subtle dig at him.

For a guy who's been in the system for 5 years now, he's basically shown zero improvement. Think he was just a low ceiling guy.

Philly surely will blow it all up now. That was pathetic.

Thing is when he shows some urgency he looks dangerous. He just doesn't do it. So frustrating.

No he doesn't. He can't even really show urgency nowadays because he will brick the free throws.

He is an absolutely brilliant player if it were NBA pre-2012.

Now you just have to be able to hit the 3ball.

He should have done this a couple seasons ago, but his entire offseason should be dedicated to jumpers. Nothing else. The rest of his game is good enough. Start hitting jumpers/3s and he'll be an absolute weapon. There was footage 2 pre-seasons ago of him hitting 3s fairly regularly. It was either purposely edited or he is just incapable of doing it in-game.

OR completely re-invent himself as effectively a PF and learn how to consistently work in the post BUT then he still has his FT issues.

Mind you Philly blaming this series loss on him will be very foolish. Whilst he was poor he isnt the reason for the game 5 loss, which was just horrific.

I think it's fair to blame him for the series loss. They're paying him max money and getting literally negative offensive production from him generally, with no points in 5 of the 7 last quarters in the series.

He's an all-world defensive player but you can't hide players on offense anymore, especially with no specific assignment/where they don't offer rim protection.

Anyway Embiid just pretty much publicly traded him so its all moot. Hope they get Lillard.

Yeah. Blaming him would be very short-sighted. They choked big time. They don't have that killer instinct. Harris went completely missing. They struggled defensively without Green. And Doc continues his record of epic chokes in the playoffs.

I don't see how Portland could be satisfied in a trade. They'll do everything they can to keep Dame. Who's seriously going to want Simmons and his contract?

Geez. How about giving a bit of credit to Nate and the Hawks for pulling it off? All the focus is on an overrated players missing FTs, those Hawks played incredible and were coached so well.

Fun fact. We were torn on what to name our son. Harrison or Nathaniel, my brother had a word and said 'Nathaniel shortened is Nate, Nate McMillan" That convinced me so my son was kind of named after Mr Sonic himself.

All fair points, I still maintain if he consistently pushed the ball up the floor he'd be hard to stop.
