I watched a YouTube video a couple of nights ago outlining how much money QPR got through the last time they were in the Premier League and that Malaysian guy was funneling his cash into the club. It was more than one of the Champions League finalists that year!

Apparently his son talked him into hiring a manager he'd read about on a fan forum.

At one stage (circa 2011) they reportedly the richest club in the world. If there ever was a study in ‘how not to manage a football club’ then QPR would be on top of that list.

As for the list of managers Redknapp (along with Warnock) were probably one of our best during this time. Both got us promoted but both failed in their return to the PL.

Life as a QPR supporter these days is pretty consistent. At least you know what to expect when you wake up on a Sunday morning. Anything apart from a loss is a bonus. Hence excitement with a new Gaffer and particularly one who isn’t the standard ‘defend at all costs and play the long ball forward’.

These days life as a Bulldogs supporter brings so much more joy (along with frustration). Can’t complain though my other team Feyenoord have been riding the crest of a wave.

It mentions in the video that the team which was relegated (and not just relegated. It was 18 points behind the 19th team I think) had 6 or 7 players who'd played in the Champions League.

Not unlike being a Footscray supporter in the late '70s and early '80s. Except for the really good players bit. We had a lot of very ordinary players who really shouldn't have been playing league footy . And Kelvin Templeton who was pretty much the only reason to go each week. God we were terrible

Good win by QPR against Norwich last weekend. First time out of the relegation zone for the year (after just managing to survive last season). Hopefully the upward trend continues.

Tight race at the top of the championship with only 4 points separating Sheffield Utd, Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland.

Was at Tottenham last night. Life isnever easy being a Spurs fan.......54 minutes, 3-0 cruising. The between the 60th and 68th minute the goalie makes not one but 2 horrible blunders cutting the margin to a single goal -all thoughts of an early train vanish and you spend the next 25 mins watching your team disintegrate into rabble until you captain scores an amazing goal direct from a corner to give you a 2 goal buffer heading into injury time. Games done you think only for Man U to peg one back in injury time and the game is on a knife edge........life of a Spurs fan, even a 3 goal cushion is not enough.

The media hasn't rated us for good reason, and our PL position is soft but not unrecoverable. However, I've been really impressed with our step up in attitude after the first couple of months of the season. Feel the Trippier handover of the captaincy to Bruno and Gordon wanting to exit for Liverpool disruptions are fading. Tonali actually playing games is a massive win for us.

If we can snare some silverware this season and finish top six again then it's a step forward after a rocky start.

There was a lot of turmoil in the off season. We lost a couple of back room people who were critical in the take over, Amanda Stavely and Mehrdad Ghodoussi. They helped broker the deal and were at every game. Something happened (most likely our stuff up of the profitability and sustainability rules and forced sale of players) and they were on the nose and were out and I think that upset the apple cart a bit. Some players were force sold, some had their heads turned eg Gordon to Liverpool and their form suffered as a result, and we couldn't buy any new players so the squad felt a bit stale.

We also brought in a new director of football and I think he and Howe didn't see eye to eye early doors.

As early as a couple of months ago there were big questions around Howe, unfair questions in my opinion (we are fifth in the PL over his time at the helm), but somehow he's recaptured the magic. The players are all singing from the same hymn book and look united again. On field a major change has been the ability to play both Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimarães in the same midfield. The team is looking very settled atm we did try some things earlier (like Gordon on the right wing not the left).

I could talk about Newcastle all day but i'll stop there.
