    Who?

Oh you mean the former guy? The one term president? The one who managed to lose his party the presidency, the house and the senate? The guy who's about to lose his liberty and go to prison? It's kind of cute that he thinks that he's in a position to be lecturing anyone about being a loser.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

He'll never go to prison, regardless of whether he deserves to.

I'll print this and eat it if he does.

      Disclaimer: I won't.

And the worst take of the week goes to...
        Donald Trump. Remember him?

The former President of the United States has had it in for his country’s women’s national football team for a while, and the feeling is absolutely mutual.

His usual target is Megan Rapinoe, who bagged two goals against the Matildas last night - including a goal directly from a corner kick to open the scoring, which is known as an ‘Olimpico’ for those of you playing at home. They’re very rare. I watch a lot of football and couldn’t tell you the last time I saw one.

True to form, Trump hasn’t let those facts get in the way of his argument, and released a statement overnight. It’s exactly what you’d expect, and includes a swipe at Rapinoe - aka “the woman with the purple hair” - who he reckons played “terribly”.

“If our soccer team, headed by a radical group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold Medal instead of the Bronze,” he said.

“Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has. There were, however, a few Patriots standing. Unfortunately, they need more than that respecting our Country and National Anthem. They should replace the wokesters with Patriots and start winning again.

Donald Trump clearly didn’t watch last night’s USA vs Matildas match.

“The woman with the purple hair played terribly and spends too much time thinking about Radical Left politics and not doing her job!”

Hands up who reckons Trump watched the match?
And if the US men's Soccer team hasn't been a bunch of spoiled, overpaid millionaires, they might have actually [i] qualified[/u].

Seriously, the amount of Americans currently dunking on their own athletes at the moment is truly bizarre.

If you're not watching the bronze medal game you should be. Mills is elite.

So is Nicola McDermott, hope fully watching a Gold Medal performance.

                Shut your mouth!

But for real, Delly I love you but you're cooked. No more breaks for Mills.

Slovenia are bringing it, if they win it won't be us choking. Playing like we deserve silver though not bronze/4th
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

That was actually a pretty great game.

And we cross to McDermott, who's impossible not to like.

So damn happy for Patty Mills! As a spurs fan he holds an extra special place in my heart. So so thrilled to see him lead us to a medal. No one deserves one more than him. And what a game he delivered.

Exum, Ingles and Thybulle delivered at the end. Well done Boomers.

The draw meant we got bronze. If we had avoided USA in the semis I reckon we get silver.

Has any player put up a performance like that in a Boomers singlet? Ever? That was something else by Mills. What a beast.

Everyone's crying tonight. Patty Mills is crying. Brian Goorjian is crying. Nicola McDermott is crying. Andrew Gaze is crying. Lisa Sthalekar is crying. Mel McLaughlin is crying. Andy Maher is crying. Hell, I'm crying.

With all our moronic leaders and other selfish and egotistic celebrities, Patty Mills is the ultimate role model that this country needs. I’m happy for him more than anything else. His performance and this achievement could inspire a generation of future basketballers.

Eddie Palubinskas scored more points in a Boomers game but it wasn't the sort of impact of Mills.

Funding is limited but surely how it is distributed must be reviewed especially to our track and field athletes.

Peter Bol only received a total of $5,000 of funding over six year period!

With more funding he may well of finished with a medal in the 800m.

More of an In Bruges guy?
