Not sure why Tilio was played as a playmaker, he hasn't featured there at all for City and it denied him the space and opportunities to get in behind the defence. We had two central mids on the bench (Devlin and Baccus) and one of them should have started instead. THe move to put a CB on as a makeshift striker in the 60th minute was also atrocious and never looked like creating anything. You have Piscopo and Watts on the bench, bring them on. The only times we looked like creating something in general play was when we carried the ball using guys like Arzani (who was good), why were we immediately looking to go for the long ball to the big blokes tactic?

Also not sure about the merits of the long throw when it takes an age to setup and we have a bunch of tchnical guys that would be better served with the ball at their feet around the box. Souttar may bash up all the Asian teams with his size but against bigger sides it's a lot harder.
The technical skills of the Olyroos were terrible.

Too many Aussie teams seem to get stage fright in big competitions. Often they lack imagination or daring to take the game on.

I had to turn it off after the first half. Just an absolutely putrid display.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Yes canoe slalom C1. She got the Bronze in the K1 event, which I think she could have won, except for the two penalties when she hit the gates, one with her chin. She had the fastest times plus penalty time added.

The only thing that would top it for mine would be for the Boomers to go all the way.
It's crazy to think that at the grand old age of 27 the narrative is how stitched up she's been as the best in the sport without having won a gold at the Olympics.

The way she attacked the course was amazing, you could tell right away that if she could hold it together she was a massive chance....but she reminded me of a skier on the edge, just going for it.

I will accept this without a challenge, or request for satisfaction. No matter how hurt or wronged I feel at this minute.

The use of the word philistine is stretching it, a lot, though I will let it pass.

I was actually in the car on the way to pick up dinner, I was listening on SEN. Bob and Andy were watching and you could tell they were riding every gate as they watched. It was great radio.

I agree. Technically it makes you an ignoramus.
