Yeah fair enough, each to their own I guess. Must say kudos to the Iranian team for boycotting the national anthem in support of the protests back home. Nice to see a national team have some balls in this cup.

I'm still undecided if i'll watch any atm. Just doesnt feel like a WC to me which is sad as I usually love it.

England demolished Iran. Saka did very well for a young bloke.

Got home at half time just in time to watch the Saudi's turn into Brazil and Argentina turn into Qatar. A couple of lovely goals.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have our first big boy upset of the tournament. Argentina lose their first game for 3 years.

There was so much extra time on the extra time that even Alex Ferguson thought it was too much.

That Argentina loss was so Bulldogs. Just pissing around with it, shooting themselves in the foot early in the game to see it taken away from them late even though they had way too much of it not to score.

Was Fergie in charge of the final whistle? Bloody hell, almost 14 minutes of injury time!

Brilliant game, Saudis were so disciplined and were deadly with their finishing after half time.

Yeah, he was the only player not faking it to kill time. He got legit poleaxed.
Argentina probably a bit unlucky, especially with the one cleared off the line, but the Saudis deserved the result in the end. Mexico and Poland would be licking their lips after that result

Unbelievable result.

Have only caught highlights of the games so far, but watched that second half and it was electric. All the talk about a lack of atmosphere (reported by Channel 9 and Clint Stanaway as 'strange') reads like western media trying to undermine the tournament regardless of truth....

Anyway, great for football that result.
