Namibia currently taking it right up to Sri Lanka. Looking like good things with 9 overs to go.

Also good to see the $300m tax payer funded regional pissant toy ground with no wings being used for something other than Cats training sessions.

Great result for the Netherlands last night. Made it tough on themselves after cruising in the first 6 overs. Next Namibia.

The cricket world is going crazy. Both Sri Lanka and now the Windies getting beaten by minnow teams.

There's another little upset brewing with the West Indies teetering at 97/5 against Zimbabwe. This will be a good ground to defend on but there's talent in this Zimbabwe batting lineup.

I think Zimbabwe win from here.

Just heard that he is unlikely to play in the world cup.
To get a replacement it has to be approved by a technical committee which apparently shouldn't be a challenge.

                    I wonder who replaces him?

Phillipe is the first though that jumps to mind, with Carey in the mix too. It'd have to be someone that can handle the gloves I'd think.

While I think it should be Carey Phillipe, MacDonald didn't rule out Cameron Green or even considering other players.
A quick straw poll on SEN it seems everyone wanted Green in the side but I think that is risky if something happens to Wade early on.

Could McDermott be in the mix to back up Wade?

Good shout - he's coming off a good Hundred competition in the UK and would be pretty comfortable sliding into the middle order.

There's not much to choose from between the wicket-keeping options. My sense is they'll pick Carey as he has the most international experience and it's a World Cup, but he also has the weakest T20I record and is the most conservative batter.

The thing is if Wade gets injured later in the tournament he can still be replaced. We only need a 2nd keeper if Wade gets injured a couple of hours before a game. McDermott could do that and at least he provides batting depth.

I still can't understand why Cameron Green is not in this team. Has he got a poor T20 record?
