It was meant to be a gesture of goodwill but you flipped it you pommy bastard! That's not in the spirit of the nets.

Just you wait and see what Alex Carey will do to you. Don't turn your back. You've been warned.

It's a painful crawl at the moment with very few scoring shots. Shame to lose Marnus for only 9 runs off 80 deliveries faced.

It is almost a turgid session of cricket. Especially when referenced against the tempo of the last 4 test matches.

I guess Australia are trying to wear the England bowlers out over the long haul, given Moeen isn't bowling is he? I know it is England that need to force a result, but I'm not sure I like it.

It invites more pressure, when you don't appear to be trying to score.

We will need to up the scoring rate to even pass them today but I don't mind the contrast
They've used just 4 bowlers and as fit as Broad and Anderson are they'll eventually start to feel the pinch after tea if we have a couple of established batsman at the crease.

Khawaja has faced 152 balls for his 47. We are playing old fashion test cricket.

That's it, 100 runs later this session and the tactic will look masterful.
Less so if conditions produce 3 or 4 wickets for England for maybe 40 runs...
                      An absorbing session awaits.

2 quick wickets have swung the game. Desperately need a big score from Smith and Marsh now.

Guys it's fine. When we had them 7 down we dollied it up to them so they could bang on another 70. I'm sure we'll get the same and just about break even.

If Ben Stokes played AFL he would play for Essington. In fact the whole team is exactly like them. Entitled delusional wankers.

Cummins and Murphy to the rescue with a significant partnership giving us a small first inning lead. Once again our regognised batsman don't make an impression.
