I'm not good at calculating a required score but a lead of 350 might be a minimum. I doubt we have enough time to bowl them out unless Lyon really gets on a roll.
Regarding our batsman, they're are not necessarily in good form but it's good to see Marnus fighting to keep his wicket.
Marsh needs to be dropped on form.

Great work by the lower order and Marnus batting India out of this game. Can’t see India chasing but maybe a slight chance we can bowl them out. Sydney test will be a cracker. Heading to Day 1 and 3.

was on a road trip today and listened to the ABC. Hadn’t realised Boof was commentating but found him really good and knowledgeable. If you get the chance give him a listen.

History suggests 4th innings run chases at the MCG are very difficult, anything above 250 is near impossible (for the last 50 years at least).

Going to be very difficult without a fully fit Starc though. We need a purple patch from Scotty B to have any slight hope of 10 wickets in a day.

Listened to most of the day while hiking at Mount Kosciusko. I think there is a bit of movement in the pitch from what I can gather. At least 4 dropped catches by Indians to help build a defensible lead and a slight chance at bowling them out. Game on

I guess it might be explained as trying to chase quicker runs but our batsman just get themselves out too frequently to poor deliveries.
Marsh's effort in the first innings was reckless. Can he really be selected up in Sydney?

Great effort from the tail. It's a shame our middle order couldn't dig in and ride it out until their quicks fatigued and were less threatening. Would've been able to pile on some runs that last hour and potentially have a few over at them before close of play.

Our bowlers have been adding a lot of very handy runs for us for a while know while the recognised batsman are given a free license to bat in whatever manner they like. Our tailed frequently play within their limitations.

Great effort by Lyon and Boland in the end if give us a solid lead over 300 runs now. The disappointment was the middle order.

Sets up a great day 5 tomorrow. Need to get the 10 wickets and go 2-1 up in the series. Game in the balance.
