Yep, we all got bad decisions, and especially when in a form slump, made things worse....but....that was as bad a poor decision as your ever going to see.
Was a shocker of a desision but he was plumb LBW, earlier when not playng a shot.

Having said that, Haydos was lucky with the earlier decision...BUT, that decision against him was as bad as you will ever see, bad enough for Dar to apologize to Haydos for simply getting it wrong.
Would have to agree and not only with batting but also when keeping up to the stumps,
very rarely do square upires give little knicks or close stumpings.
I nearly gave up the game because of the crap umpiring standard in our competition one year.

          Don't believe that at all.
Batsman always get the benefit of the doubt, more bad decisions go against bowlers than batsman
The game of test cricket is much better when the bowlers are on top. These days of heavier bats, covered pitches, helmets, cameras ruling out the dodgy stuff, and too many flat track are killing the game IMO.
I don't care even its Australia copping it but I love to see batsmen cack themselves with balls around the throat. I miss the Windies.

Not sure its all 'killing the game', but today's batsmen do have it far easier in the modern game.

Hayden did get a god-awful decision, but having said that, with the shot he played, he probably deserved to get out. He's in some strife, and will have to bat very well in Melbourne to keep his spot, if he survives to Boxing Day.

Yes maybe I'm being over the top, but I do want to see brown stains on the whites.

Good innings by Haddin today and it's great to see his batting improving. Now if he can just get his work behind the stumps working a bit better he will be an important player for us.

Huge test for our bowlers today.

Brett Lee simply must take 3 or 4 wickets today. He is the senior bowler and needs to produce his best when his team needs him the most.

A mate put $50 on a SA win at nearly $5.50 yesterday because he didn't think our bowlers could stick to the plan. The first hour should tell the story.

What's wrong with getting your body or pads behind the ball?

Watch the steak knives come out now!

                              From an Aussie perspective :

Disgraceful, there's a reason that was the second highest run chase in the history of Test cricket, it just should not happen, especially after Mitch Johnson broke their backs with a brilliant spell of 5 for 2 in 20 balls.

                              From a cricket perspective :

Awesome game of cricket...so many kept saying how batsman friendly the pitch was, yet 3 innings over in 3 days, the match had everything, 2 centuries [both in the 4th innings], an 8 for including THAT spell.

The fact that Sth Africa have really struggled against Australian for such a long time, and from an overall perspective, a good thing for cricket - who says Test cricket is dead?

These last two innings show why Haddin play his natural game and not bat too defensively. In India, he batted with subdued aggression and came undone. Now, he seems much more free-wheeling, and his results with the bat are reflective of this.

Haddin is very much cut in the Gilchrist mould as a keeper-batsman - As there are better gloveman around (e.g: Hartley), but he gets into the team as a result of his batting, teamed with his good, yet inferior, keeping.
