Has Khwaja really shown more than Marsh?

Personal opinion, should have used this series to try a few new players to prepare them for an ashes tour,
But Ricky looks after his mates and apart from his terrible captaincy he will not drop certain players.

IMO yes, his record is fantastic and his technique would just about be the most 'pure' of this top 6. He is just as versatile as Marsh having opened the innings and batted as low down as 6 and while he may not score at the same rate I would be more prepared to back him into a pressure situation then Marsh who really hasn't had a breakout season in the shield to date.
In saying that I am a massive rap on the lad whom I expect to really become our next batting great.

I guess it comes down to whether you believe there are two better batters then Hughes currently outside the team that is, if we were to drop both Hussey and North. I would be comfortable with North being a straight swap for Khawaja but if Hussey were to go as well, Im not sure Hughes can be overlooked.

8 down & the lead is 206. Hilfy & Hauritz need to get the lead to about 250 (can't rely on Doug the Rug).

Hauritz has his stumps uprooted by a Zaheer (spoke too soon). 183/9

Hauritz gone and this pitch isnt really showing any demons so far, still a decent strip to bat on so unless Bollinger is channeling a bit of Bradman magic this isnt going to be enough.

                    Shocking cross bat shot.

Only one player to make it to 50 is just typical.

I'm not a Hughes fan so IMO there would be half a dozen other batsmen I would rather bring in to the 6.

Watson, Katich, Ponting, Clarke, Hughes and Khwaja followed by Haddin is just about every NSW fans dream.

I would only bring Hughes to open and to be honest I doubt Hussey is going anywhere, If he were to go and Watson stayed at the top then it would have to be White or Bailey as next in line.

A bonus to get a wicket in the first over. Need another one quickly though.
