Have been talking him up for years after playing with him but the hype is excessive. Full confidence he will be a high quality leggie but the lad is 20 and has one first class game. I hope Inverarity and the selectors dont force the issue with him at this stage.

I don't think they will but if the can get some good coaching into him and Ashton Agar over the next 3 years or so we could have some quality cricketers coming through to either replace or support Lyon.

Interesting looking back on the players on your list GVG. Australia is closing in on reclaiming the number 1 mantle but some of the names aren't necessarily the ones we expected.

It's also funny seeing Steve Smith being named as everything that's wrong with Australian cricket

Great bump, that was a fun read.

I think the whole debate about picking them young on potential or more experienced based on performance really does ignore the most important thing. Good players will put up the results eventually
