Have to stick with that formation, what Oar and Kruse lacked in a bit of touch they made up for in energy. Big effort from Cahill as well, playing alone out front was always going to be a struggle, toiled manfully

The Oman result overnight has thrown a bit of a spanner in the works. We simply need to beat Jordan next week - if we can get the right result, we should be home and hosed because Iraq will have nothing to play for in the last game, and Jordan and Oman will be bashing each other up for the 3rd place playoff position (assuming we beat Iraq). A lot of work still to be done but we should qualify.

I was lucky enough to be in Tokyo for the World Cup Qualifier and also to get a ticket to the game. Massive atmosphere with 61,000 Japanese and 1,000 Aussies. The Japanese were a fantastic crowd, very respectful but they were full of voice for the entire game. It was passionate, disciplined, unrelenting chanting by the Blue Samurai supporters. A very unique experience.

It was such a pity that we didn't steal it, but it would have been daylight robbery. 1-1 was a fair result on the balance of play.

Can't wait to get to Etihad stadium tomorrow night and cheer on the Socceroos again. Hopefully they can get the job done.

I'll be there. I'm not overjoyed with the roof being left open tonight. Apparently it's to make Jordan as uncomfortable as possible (along with 40,000 odd spectators). Guess I'll take one for the team if it helps get a win!

ill be going straight to the Medallion club, might have to watch from behind the glass expecting full house and need a big win tonight. The boys will lift with the home crowed, will have both victory and heart supporters there chanting there heads off!
