They certainly paid twice what he's worth because they pissed off Soton tapping him up, but he's still a fantastic CB and exactly what they need.
VVD and Keita for Coutinho seems a good deal.
Finally we get our man! Talk about doing it the hard way. Most expensive defender in the world but you always pay a premium for epl players. Won’t be the difference but it’s a big start to fixing the leak and hopefully we now look at the keepers.

Fun and games from Nike but we could hold out till the summer. He will go unfortunately it’s only a matter of when. He has remained super professional and is playing in top form so of course he will be a huge loss when he does go. I would love to keep him till the summer and have a run at the CL but we will see. At least Nike has ensured another £10 mill goes on top now.

Meh! I reckon the Champion's League is the most bring overrated waste of time in world sport.
Domestic titles are far more valuable than qualifying for the CL. If you have to qualify for something go with Europa League. At least you aren't taking your eye off the proper prize because only the insane would think finishing sixth on the table is a successful season to be celebrated. Winning titles is a successful season,
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I agree the Domestic title is the main aim but that’s gone now so going on a run in the CL would be fantastic and possible. I love the Champions League and it’s been some time since we have been back in the last 16.
