Great result against the mortal enemy.
I was looking forward to watching the games. Obviously I didn't want the two Manchester teams to win.

Yep, I kind of wish we could play away every week.

First half we were very good and in the second we were toothless. Our double pivot is a real weakness without Mikel or Romeu being available.

There are reports that Southampton are on the verge of sacking manager Nigel Adkins. Consecutive promotions to get them into the Premier League, what were they realistically expecting him to do this season, qualify for the Champions League?

Saints executive chairman Nicola Cortese has apparently held talks with former Espanyol boss Mauricio Pochettino.

It's a brutal competition, sentiment doesn't go a long way. Sometimes there's confusion between reckless spending or reaching, and pragmatism. Managers often wear the brunt of it.

Crazy. They may even stay in the top flight.

At least give him the chance to avoid relegation.

Agree. Surprised Southampton are giving him the chop in their first season back up in the top flight. Survival would be the main target.

Obviously more to this than just results. Sad to see him go as soton played some good football, but he'll manage again elsewhere.

Such high stakes in terms of $$$ in regards to promotions and relegations that it's always going to be cut throat.

Sounds like ownership and the manager have had a falling out.

                      Re: 2012-13 EPL Thread

What a thoroughly entertaining game at White Hart Lane between Spurs & Manchester United. The game was played in blizzard like conditions with snow prevailing throughout.

The game finished 1-1 which was a fair reflection. Van Persie gave United the lead in the first half & Dempsey equal used with almost the last luck of the game.

Only sour note for me was the Spurs fans who thought it would be fun to throw snowballs at United players.

Great game. 1-1 was right score and result. Spurs weren't clinical enough around the goals and Man U didn't create enough good chances.

Disappointing result after leading for all of it
Before the game would have taken a point.
City still have to play there.
Chelsea are very long odds, I'd think.

Our flat spot in November(plus our recent home form) is going to cost us any chance of catching United. But I wouldn't be surprised in we finished 2nd.
