    Re: 2012-13 EPL Thread

Proud effort by a brave Chelsea side, but it was always going to be hard to stop MU scoring(from an off side position) with only 9 men on the field.

Well done to Clattenberg for ruining a great game. A lot of controversy to come out of this game with Chelsea lodging an official complaint about his language towards two of our players. Spanish twat and monkey are the terms doing the rounds as well as also telling another player 'you w*nkers aren't going to win today' after Torres was sent off(which he also effed up).

    The curse is dead.

Didn't stay up to watch the match but from the highlights I saw our 3rd goal to win it was offside with even our club champion Gary Neville saying it was offside. I agree chef that the ref was a disgrace especially with his comments to some players but I'm happy with the win but still defensively we are weak at the back. That puts us on 21 points now equal 2nd with Man City on 21 points and 1 point behind league leaders Chelsea.

Haven't seen the game, but Ivanovic by all reports had to go.
The whole simulation rule is a dogs breakfast to be honest.
From a Utd perspective again not being able to keep a clean sheet is disappointing.
Think the officiating in England can't keep up with the frantic pace

He did, but the Torres second yellow was a joke.

Liverpool should of won in the end and even though people who don't support Liverpool or don't like Saurez watching the highlights know his goal should of been allowed. What do you guys reckon of goal line technology or should we just leave it be like it has been.

I'll wait 3 to 4 days before making such comments. Refs are miked up and Im sure it was all recorded. He has said he is happy for the truth to come out, how about we wait for it before branding him a disgrace.

Glad to see someone given a 2nd yellow for a dive (and it was a dive) but very shocked to see it happen in such a big game.

You're right Topdog. We are just stating our opinions of what might of happened not the truth. It's like with the John Terry incident with Anton Ferdinand. We don't know what happened there exactly and people think Terry did something. A court of law found him not guilty.

Wasn't it an offside decision that was incorrect?

Not the same. Terry was found not guilty but the judge said that he believed Terry did it. The FA also found him guilty and he didn't fight the charge.

In this we have heard rumors and innuendo. There will be real evidence available we just have to wait

Yes that decision that went in our (Man Utd) favour was offside and given a goal. We were lucky there but also the Saurez decision as well was bad in that it was a goal but not given in the Everton v Liverpool match. That wasn't offside.

Wasn't worth a yellow IMO, he got contact and just put a little too much effort into it. It was also the first time he had gone down all game. May have had more to do with what was being said on the pitch.

He also said the Terry wasn't trying to be racist when he said what he said, part of the reason he was found not guilty. But he should know better than to use the 'b' word, especially since two of his best mates are of African origin.

compared to what happens in most games, no not worthy. IMO they should be handed out a lot more often though. Would stop the diving.

Just saw it and although Torres went down to easy, it wasn't a second yellow.
