He probably wasn't stopping it, but there's no doubt Gourffan's positioning impacted on whether and when Hart would dive for it.

He can think about diving all he wants.. He wasn't stopping that one.

He wasn't, but his argument that Gouffran impeded does tend to play into the rules of the game.

FWIW I think we all agree those should be paid. Still don't think the challenge on Nasri has received enough backlash

                Re: 2013-14 EPL Thread.

He had to duck out of the way of the ball. How can that not be deemed interfering with play?

I agree Hart doesn't get anywhere near it but the guy is standing in an offside position and presumably too lazy to get back onside. Only has himself to blame IMO.

Having said that I absolutely hate the new interpretations and rules regarding offside. Everything a player does on the pitch affects something or someone, whether it be their movement or their concentration something is affected/changed by the positioning of every player.

Being a Saints supporter here's the info I'm getting
                      1 the manager is staying
2 the owners haven't decided to sell yet
3 the manager is staying because the chairman is getting a consortium together to buy the club.
                      The first one is confirmed.

Bit sad if it goes pear shaped for Saints as they seemed to he getting their shit together as a club.

Any truth to the rumours that they're looking to cash in on a few players(Shaw, Lallana, Osvardo and Lambert) before the club gets sold?

There's no way the GK sighted it, or had any opportunity to dive and stop it. It was an absolute rocket that cut through (sheer luck) a bunch of players, and it shouldn't have been called.

Love that Aguero is back, pleasure to watch. His goal was all class.

Have to say I am interested in how we manage Aguero, Negredo and Dzeko going forward. As of this moment, I prefer Dzeko to Negredo. I think the latter has been disappointing lately, pretty wasteful and not very clean whilst Dzeko has been impressive with hitting the scoreboard regularly, his touch and even getting back defensively in set pieces. Deserves to be rewarded.
