Wow If I were a City supporter I'd be absolutely livid. 2 blatant penalties missed, another one that I believe was a pen (Silva) and a free kick for simulation not resulting in a yellow which would have seen Suarez sent off.

Liverpool missed a fair few as well and had decisions against them. Suarez did need to pull his head in though.
The fixture at etihad in December was very lucky for city. Liverpool were missing Gerrard, Sturridge, Flanagan and Agger was underdone. Here's what the match report said:
"Manuel Pellegrini's side made it an impressive nine out of nine - with 37 goals scored - to move into second place behind Arsenal as the Reds slipped to fourth after a 2-1 defeat.
However, had Raheem Sterling's effort not been wrongly ruled out for offside before either side had scored - and goalkeeper Simon Mignolet not made a hash of Alvaro Negredo's winner - Brendan Rodgers' side could well have got much more out of this game.
As it was they contributed much to an enthralling match which was billed as a test of their title credentials.
That may still be something of a distant dream, considering Rodgers was forced to name 19-year-old reserve team defender Brad Smith in his squad for the first time, but it did plenty to suggest their top-four challenge is alive and well."
Thought they defended brilliantly for the first 35-40, particularly skertel, barely a chance. Crapped their pants for a while after that, then defended resolutely for the last 15. Defense has been the weakest point all season though. I thought the Milner sub was a game changer as he started testing the the defence and those in front of them.
As a Reds supporter, i have to admit i am irked a bit when Suarez or Sturridge turn on the theatrics. I don't know. I only watch Reds games. Maybe each team has one or two players that do the same, you tell me. The pity is that Suarez doesn't need to and i love the rest of his game.
As for the game, i was very surprised by the crispness and sharpness of the team for the first half hour. Quite often on occasions like this mornings, teams can be overawed.
Hopefully no let down against Norwich this week. And hopefully Kolo Toure has been sent on an early end of season holiday..
In the AFL the spoiling player looks at the ball when spoiling. It was a mess of players, heads, arms and legs everywhere, he had no intention of touching it and you know it, so did the commentators.
Liverpool have been on the receiving end of many dubious decisions this year like everyone else.
So many sour grapes, attacks and trotted out excuses (not just this week, go back 4 weeks worth) as to why liverpool are lucky to be leading the premier league. You are right though, it's only been 34 games and they only have a measley 93 goals. 7 more than man city and 27 more than the next team. That for a team that spent 100 million less than the two teams near it and had key players out through the year. Maybe make excuses for own teams position? Doesn't seem like it's the other contenders fans complaining generally...
Anyway, do what you want, I've had enough of arguing with the resentful underachievers, I'm out of this thread.
