Re: 2nd Test Australia England at Lords

I just read if we lose the next test it will be our worst losing streak for something like 130 years.

I know where the smart money is going.

And then the next challenge is that we've never lost more than 3 tests in England.

Watch those records going tumbling ! At least this touring party can be marked as record breakers. Hopefully for them nobody looks up exactly which records they broke.

Exactly like I feel too. I was so keen for the series to start now I couldn't care less. Bad batting and dubious decisions. Can it get any worse? Unfortunately yes.

          Last wicket partnerships totals:

          1st Test: 228 of 574 total runs (40%)
          2nd Test: 67 of 363 total runs (19%)

295 runs of 937 total runs - over 30% of total runs by the last wicket

Just a further indictment on the top order

Re: 2nd Test Australia England at Lords

This is the averages for the Australian side in the last 6 test matches

            1st 41.08
            2nd 15.92
            3rd 18.92
            4th 30.17
            5th 28.58
            6th 20.08
            7th 10.08
            8th 25.25
            9th 20.50
            10th 41.64

It says something about our batting that the last wicket partnership is getting us more runs than any other.

Usman was the only positive out of the debacle.

Just read that James Pattinson has been ruled out for the rest of the series with stress fractures in the back... He bowled a big pile of shit in this game, perhaps that's why.

                  Come on down Pat Cummins.

Good to know from CA today that Patto and Siddle have signed for the Renegades in the BBL and did/released the promotion photo today.

They've both had/have injuries, the Ashes campaign is in tatters and they promote this as top news...

Khawaja made some comments about the negative impacts of Australian pitches these days.

Clarke is injured for the next tour match.
                          Cowan is the Australian Captain
Ashton Turner is the spinner (yep, 20yo unknown finger spinner)

Warner is on the verge of a double hundred for Australia A against South Africa A in the second match of their African Tour.

Glenn Maxwell on the verge of a ton.

                              Maxwell gets his ton

Warner out for 193 just before stumps on day 1

He'd have to be a spin bowler with a surname like that!
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
