Mate, I look at the fact everyone except Smith (terrible out) got a start, meaning our tail could wag a little to get us to 400 or thereabouts if things go well.

If the ball is doing something in the morning session then we could easily be in trouble and lose wickets quickly.

Soft dismissals have cost our bats in the top order and I think we'll ultimately regret that. 350 runs will give us something to bowl at and put pressure on the England top order to perform. I think that's about par from this point, 50-100 runs more than that and we'll be doing OK, just.
    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Unfortunately the ABC commentary has also become far less informative.

Yesterday I was travelling in the car and it took forever to find out what the score was and then even which batsman was facing up.
They weren't even concerned to definitively state if a run was taken from any delivery.

They seem more intent on having a personal chat and entertaining each other, than telling the listening public what is actually happening.

Really good opportunity to get a big total and take the ascendency today if Clarke can make a big score.

Nice Century by Clarke and good backup from Haddin.

5/389 and looking like at least 450 at this stage.

Its a bit sad but I agree the ABC's standards are slipping a little.

One of the reasons I enjoy a series against India is that the ABC gets Harsha Bogle on board for commentary. Easily my favourite commentator in world cricket.

Andrew MacDonald is a nice inclusion to the ABC team.
Kerry's an aquired taste, and Jim Maxwell is an institution.( pro NSW however, as is Skull)
Lawson's a moaning pain in the arse! Really like Jonathon Agnew ( the best of the BBC)

I've never seen a player in form like Clarke is and has been for the last 12 months+. This must be what watching Bradman batting was like.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Stat just went up at the ground that he is the first batsman to reach 1000 runs this calendar year.

When you consider how pitiful the team's form has been that is truly phenomenal.

I wonder how long he can keep doing it!

Did I read it correctly that he's scored a 1000 runs in a calendar year 4 years in a row?

EDIT- Just checked it's 4 out of the last 6 years

Still unbelieveable. I dare say he wouldn't have been far away in the other two.
