    Re: UEFA Champions League 2014/15

Come on chef get with the program fella!
Last season the chasing pack were world class, and this season they're rubbish.
Surprising result, but to be honest the English clubs aren't good enough.
BTW you're not the only one who has spent over the journey. Dare I say it even Liverpool have spent .

We were streets ahead in the top 7 table, but unfortunately we stuffed it up against Villa and Sunderland in the run home.

IMO we were the best side in the comp last year, but we stuffed it in games we should be winning.

Theres no being humble about it, it's just the way it is to me.
Yea, sorry can't agree on that one.

I don't expect you too, but our record against the top 7 speaks for itself.

But we fluffed it against Sunderland, Villa and Palace in the run home.

I'm sure you feel the same about your slip up last season though.

If you fluff it this time, we are ready to pounce.

You guys are playing some great football(apart from that Monaco game) ATM.

If Wenger has a smart summer you should be challenging from the get go.

We had a near replica record the only difference was the slip which changed our game completely otherwise that game was headed for 0-0.

                Nah. That would be incorrect.

                Top 8 table.

                Chelsea W 11 D 3 L1 P36

                Liverpool W 8 D1 L6 P25

Out of those 14 games we let in 4 goals

We would still have won that game even without the slip IMO as Rodgers had no idea how to deal with us as we saw in the end when we score another goal on the break. You guys weren't playing for a 0-0 which was weird when thats all you needed to do. As well as being our 'B' grade line up with our stars being rested for the upcoming UCL game.

You started and finished the game with a back 6, you delayed free kicks, held the ball back from the opposition trying to throw it in, faked injuries and at no stage tried to win the game. The second goal came from us risking it all at the end trying to score, the risks wouldn't have been taken had the first not not been gifted.

You had a great record against the top sides, but obviously a poor record outside the top 7 because you finished a rightly very close 3rd in the end.

As for your 'B' side, it probably was still worth more than ours.

You would have still being trying to score/win that game at the end even without 'the slip'. It's how Rodgers does it, look at the next week against CP when you're 3 up.

Our record against the top 8 is why I was so disappointed with last season as we really 'should' have won the League. But im sure you feel the same about last season, it seems we both slipped up in the end and handed City the title on a platter.

And Pool's squad wasn't built on the cheap.

If Rodgers can start a season as well as he can finish one you'll be right up there.

Hopefully next season we are a little quicker out the box.

The Boy Wonder! Oh Fernando! Puts Atletico Madrid through 3-2 on Penalties.

Heartbreak for Arsenal, had a crack and went so close at the end being clawed off the line. Monaco through on away goals rule.

You had your chances In the end to win it so just getting back was an effort, Wenger nearly did it.
