The positive has to be Warner, he was always at the level technically but is now rock solid with his mindset, hungry and just entering his prime. He may very well go down in the top half a dozen openers we've had.

With the changes he has made for himself off field, his training habits and subsequent form improvement, he may well be Australia's next captain!
Somewhat agree, but who's the alternative? I would hate it to be Steve Smith!
Unlike previous years we really don't have a standout canidate, Smith seems most likely at the moment to succeed Clarke. Although Clarke has at least another four or five years in him yet and a new prospect may be on the scene by then.
It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.

With Clarke's dickey back and tendency towards soft tissue injuries I can't see him going for another four or five years........
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
Smith would be my choice also. I met Warner once, a nice, knock-about bloke but he isn't in the same mould as Ponting where all that's needed is to simply sand back a few edges. A bit simple to be captain in all honesty.
