Certainly a better bet than Doherty . Great story, and he sounds like a ripping lad
Greatest figures ever in the history of the Sheffield Shield final, he deserves to understudy Lyon to the Windies

Meanwhile interesting news in South Australia with Darren Berry being let go, Dizzy Gillespie will take over the Strikers apparently but not the Shield side, he's still committed to continuing as coach of Yorkshire where he's done an excellent job

They rave about how good a coach Dizzy is on the County cricket radio broadcasts. Yorkshire had the championship won with a round still to play last season.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

The sooner they get him back into the Aussie fold the better, Langer looks like the heir apparent but Dizzy has done a terrific apprenticeship. It takes a driven guy to begin his coaching career at the bottom in Zimbabwe and move his way up in the manner he has. If England ditch Moores I'd suggest Dizzy has the job on a platter

Big bulldogs supporter is Jason. I wonder if the club has picked the brain of one of one of the preeminent coaches in his sport.

And if he gets the England job at least he will already have plenty of red, white and blue gear ready to go.

Despite making the final do the Vics need to do a clean out of players at the end of this season?

To me the future needs to be around the likes of Handscomb and Stoinis in the batting.

Yes we can't rely on Rogers and Hussey and Cam White might be passed his best.

WA now 1/142 and leading by 182.

Vics would still be favourite as they only need a draw, but they could definitely lose from here.

Will be interesting to see if WA put us in for 4-5 overs tonight to try and grab a wicket or two in fading light.

Tomorrow will be a tense day as a Victorian batsman! Hopefully Rogers digs in again.

WA 2/240 a lead of 280. It will be interesting to see when they declare.

I wish the match was in Melbourne. It would be a great days play to sit and watch.
