Silly Season (post home and away season trade period) suggestions.
Re: Silly Season (post home and away season trade period) suggestions.
After our drafting effort last year, I don't think anyone should question the decision to get two picks at the start of the second round for our single pick at 11.
Re: Silly Season (post home and away season trade period) suggestions.
I get the feeling that as we seemed into Rioli (who was predicted to go in the early 20s) and with the McKay brothers slipping down the draft to around those same picks that these players were the main reason for this trade.

Who has him inside 10?
Going by the 3 most prevalent BF posters (who seem to know their stuff - at least until Snoop puts his mock up):
Chris25 has him as the 7th most talented available
Skippos at 12
Knightmare at 14 (KM nailed the top 11 in order last year but didn't rate Webb FWIW)
The other kids tend to just copy variations of these three - haven't seen anyone put him at 20/21 but late movements / needs / and interviews always change the order up to the day

Along the same lines...
We're only going to have three picks in the draft. If DMac is a rookie (unlikely), could we try to trade #11 for Carltons #20 & #21? This would make our three picks 20, 21 and 30.
Obviously this would be of less benefit if someone bids on DMac, but it could still work...will there still be quality available at pick 20/21?
I'm happy with the trade of picks. As others have said, the draft is supposedly even beyond the first few. Basically we've downgraded pick 11 by 9 spots, and upgraded pick 51 by 30 spots because it won't be used now. I think that's a win.
What happens if we have used our 3 live picks (ie Grant stays, and we've drafted with 20,21,30) and then somebody bids on Dmac with pick 50? Can we match it in the rookie draft?

There is a bit of talk on Twitter that we are in to Rioli.

Would he get to 30?

I don 't know but perhaps.
I will rephrase. Is he worth 21?
