It's based on that at picks 20 & 21 there will be better players available. I don't buy into social media hype. I like him as a player and wouldn't object if we had a nibble at pick 30 but before then there will be better performed players.Listening to Brahm's 3rd RacketComment

Thanks Doc, I'm rather sceptical about tweeners and Bruce causing clubs to think that there's a PR benefit because of his surname or pressure not to pass for other clubs. #deliciousRocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment

From the little I've seen I'd agree with this. Nice player at around that 30-35 value, but should be better performed players at 20/21 and ones that address our needs.W00F!Comment

Re: Silly Season (post home and away season trade period) suggestions.
I believe we have to nominate a father son prior to the draft. If nobody bids we take him with our last pick, if someone bids we have to match. So if we intend on putting him on the main list and only want to use the three picks then we get him with pick 30. If we want him as a rookie we leave him unattached in the main draft, meaning anyone can pick him up without us having matching rights. However if he makes it through the ND and PSD then we can take him as a rookie without a fight.I should leave it alone but you're not rightComment

Quayle's mock closer to the day will be telling - she knows f-all about ranking talent (according to a few people who know) but her sources about who likes who are impeccable.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

Whilst true, it helps that she doesn't release the bulk of her info until the day of the draft.W00F!Comment

Re: Silly Season (post home and away season trade period) suggestions.
New system here
I actually think this is far too harsh on Academy players unless there are more than one expected to go in any given round. Why would a northern club invest in kids as young as 10 when even if that kid is bid Pick 1 in the draft, they only get a 600 point discount (ie about pick 31). They have to cough up 2400 points, which is between picks 2-3, to secure a player they've been developing for years. I get the angst over Heeney but I wonder whether this will see the Academies disappear, or at the very least receive less investment.Comment
