Because it's Brisbane you would end up at? It's not even as if the weather (compared to Perth) is that much nicer.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Freo...the stories that could be told...

Players there are either happy or ridiculously UNHAPPY...there don't seem to be too many of those just going about their business. Brisbane would be starting to accumulate some serious fire-power if they landed Neale...
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

I meant the club, not the place. Freo is beautiful

I'm actually OK with this, and given it's Stevo, he probably thinks it's helping us to be in a position to secure Gaff without being remotely true.

Nothing about Adams tells me he has the body for AFL, and unfortunately he's missed a shit tonne of development time playing against high quality forwards over these past three years.
                  TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Happy for him to go as has no improvement at his age and fragile body. So long as they don't blink with English with West Coast interested big time.

Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion

Going on from a thought I had on another thread. If this is true, we should be speaking to Sydney...

WCE might have interest again, they've been interested before. WCE should threaten to match the offer if their compo is pick 16-18. Sydney might have pick 13-14 they'll burn it for Blakey. So offer them pick a swap for pick 7 and 13-14. They have to give us a good player though. They have a heap of small forwards, one of them might be good (who to ask for?). Sydney have two picks in the early 30's so they have draft points to purchase Blakey. They get two top 10/first round picks by trading with us, we get a good player and a pick to on trade to WCE.

For us we get a good player from Sydney. We take pick 13-14 and Adams and that's a good deal to trade with WCE. That gets them back into the first round and gives them another big tall to add further flexibility to their back half. Seems like a win-win and with Naughton, Cordy, Young, Morris, Wood and Trengove if necessary we can cover the loss while gaining an elite ball user.

So if Stevo talking about Adams is related to Gaff, maybe there's a way to generate two good players. We could do the same with North trading 7 for 10 (Tarryn Thomas) but I'm not as sure they'll give us something worthwhile.

Come trade preiod there are some big dollars that will be thrown around. North already targeting every man and his dog (hopefully they get no one), Carlton talking about getting a mature age mid and Bevo has said we require a couple of mature aged players to help the young list.

Will be very interesting what happens.

Knowing us it won't be very interesting because nothing will happen. Or it will be that Chinese curse type of interesting where a bunch of stuff we didn't want to happen, happens.

We as in fans or the club itself ?
Because in my opinion the club did really well last year, the draft (Richards, Naughton) and the mature ones we brought in have been great compared to what we lost.
Crozier is a lot better footballer than Stringer , maybe not in highlights but as a complete footballer and more regular he is.
Trengove has shown he can hold his own in the last few games.
Last year was a very good year in that regard.
I think its a furphy we stuff up more than we are successful.
We won a flag two years ago, so history tells are we pretty good with the draft and bringing in players from other clubs.
All clubs make errors and are a few a lot worse than us ( I think Nth delisted all its rookies from this year and none played a game ) all our rookies ended up playing regularly , one won our goal kicking !
You under rate our recruiting strategies and success in it greatly.

Scott Lycett has apparently told the Saints that he intends to go to Port Adelaide if a deal can be struck.
This must strengthen West Coast interest in Roughead and perhaps English which I can't see us being prepared to deal

Also Tom Hickey is supposedly of interest to West Coast, although he is contracted for another year.
