IF, still think big if, he is coming to the dogs, definitely do not want us paying his full salary. Fair enough as a 4x premiership player and captain, but not as a solution to free up salary. In essence he isn’t going to put us back in the 8 so he is a Cloke’esque acquisition for us which should have similar (slightly higher) terms

The writing was already on the wall, but Tom Lynch now confirmed to Richmond.

Unsure why but this makes them shit me a little bit more.

Makes me wonder how they can even fit him into their cap.

If you believe some of the rumours apparently a number of players are prepared to take a pay cut to help.

How is it we get one player on a big deal but other clubs get three or four eg (Geelong) and the journos say it will destroy our list but no mention of other teams doing it and destroying their list ?

A big no thanks for me, besides being on the right age demographic I’m not sure what he brings.. prefer we continue to develop the kids we have rather than add in Lloyd.

I think if Dickson is staying along with Picken then there just isn't room for Lloyd. Agree the focus mainly needs to be on the younger players.

Hope we are into Billings - if ever there was a buy low for high talent option it’s him right now.

Had a shocking year but did play better late. Think he would compliment our list well and given the ton of experience we’re losing (ie. Dahl) then we simply need to land a few senior players. Lloyd I don’t mind but as above if we keep Dickson I don’t see the point.

Gaff would be nice but won’t happen. How much would Billings cost us? Dahl compo?

He's contracted so you'd think they'd want more, but it would mean trading with St Kilda which definitely means they will lose the trade. So I think the Dahl compo would be about right, provided we find another way (Adams) of securing West.

                                Adams - WCE
                                Billings - Dogs
                                WCE player/their pick 20 - Saints

I don't really rate Billings. But assuming we need Dahl compo for West, that's about as close as I can guess to make it happen.
