Re: Early Trade Rumours for 2022
The Demons were able to replace Tomlinson with Petty without even noticing it and I think that Petty is only okay in a system that doesn't need stars in order to be effective.Comment

Jed Anderson is a potential DFA from North.

Re: Early Trade Rumours for 2022
You would want to make sure he is very fit. At his best he is a damaging player but he doesn't play enough games from my perspective and for a midfielder/forward he doesn't kick enough goals so I'd pass.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

The property steward loves him because his jumper and shorts are as pristine at the final siren as they were at the opening bounce of every game."Look at me mate. Look at me. I'm flyin'"Comment

Re: Early Trade Rumours for 2022
Tomlinson would be a tentative yes from me if we didn't already take O'Brien and offer a contract to Cordy.
Pre-ACL Tomlinson would be a yes for sure. Does he play on a wing? At this stage he'd offer us a slow Cheesy Barlow and I'm not sure that is worth $500k of whatever contract we'd take over. He's sure as hell not worth that as a third backman as he doesn't seem the type to intercept mark and that's what we lack.
I'd rather go to draft and hope like hell TOB has a really good pre-seasonWestern Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

I like Petty and if we was gettable I'd say yes.

Tomlinson has shown previous success as a tall wing - a position we definitely struggled finding permanent solutions this year - and it is perfectly reasonable for us to talk with him and let our doctors/fitness team have a look. I trust their judgment.
Remember too that Geelong have succeeded in recruiting mature bodied players from other clubs. Incredible really how many of tomorrow’s team started their career elsewhere. Getting a fit Tomlinson for low draft capital is worth the risk (provided of course the docs and high performance team are supportive). Then we still get our early draft picks to use on high-end juniors who we desperate;y need."I'll give him a hug before the first bounce and then I'll run into my pack and give them orders to rip him apart."Comment
