Re: Early Trade Rumours for 2022

Supplementary question - do you think a club (unnamed for now) has put 2 years into getting Dunkley?
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

      Yep.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Do you think they were always going for both, or trying both hoping to get at least one of them?
I think they are probably targeting 4-5 and crossing their fingers. They have two...I doubt that is the end. I suspect they are trying to move Martin as Taranto in particular would NOT be cheap.

As I mentioned above, announced today that Martin is going nowhere

I have heard both players have been offered long term contracts....5 to 7 years....on $750,000. Could be just talk.

Also Soldo is now 'gettable' so they're moving his salary on.
Silly Soldo should have taken the deal with us last year.

Reported that Richmond have offered Hopper 7 years (and more money) that Geelong weren't prepared to match.

                    7! That's insanity.

Also explains why he's committed - very hard to turn down 7 years money

I can now exclusively report that Bulldog Revolution is on the trading block and looking for a long term deal

Bomber blitz have offered a signed photo of Adrian Dodoro and an overseas trip next September as there's nothing on in Melbourne that time of the year.

North have offered Logue 4 years.

Why aren’t we doing that again?

Would be an immediate upgrade on Cordy. With Egg, Mr.Principles, the PE teacher and TOB we have something of a key defensive unit

He should be a decent player for them. I wonder if it will be as a defender or forward?
