Agree on Morton but Pike is one of the better 2nd rucks in the comp this year, and LRT is much better than his reputation as a spud - he's certainly much better than Tom Williams.

Morton will probably make way for McGlynn next week anyway.

Be a little surprised if Mcglynn plays.
With the 3 and 1 it's too big a risk

Who are the elite Sydney players? I can name Goodes, Kennedy, Richards and maybe Jetta, though that's about it.

O'Keefe, Jack, Mumford and McVeigh are all elite in their area of responsibility. Then there are about 10-15 above-average role players: down back guys like Mattner, Shaw and Malceski provide great run and carry, Grundy takes the gorillas, Pike gives solid ruck relief to Mummy, Hanneberry is great inside and outside, Smith is one of the best lock down small defenders in the comp, Reid strong in the air, LRT adds tall versatility at both ends, guys like Bolton, McGlynn, Bird and Parker fight like crazy to lock it in the forward line.

It will be 21 days on GF day. Right on the cusp for a hammy but I'd roll the dice - Morton is exactly the type of player who will freeze in the glare of GF day.

Swans are a great Team thats what will get them across the line

The Swans have proved that you don't need to bottom out and then come good again and make a GF. It requires good recruiting.

O'Keefe, Jack, Mumford and McVeigh are all elite in their area of responsibility. You've outlined how they're an excellent team or unit, with even spread across the ground. Much like Collingwood were in 2010. It will be interesting to see if their game plan can sustain them against the Hawks (presumably, though strange things happen in prelims) like Collingwood's did in 2010 against a very top end and middle talented St Kilda.

Collingwood in 2010 had a very even spread much like Sydney do this year, though they had a game plan that was by far and away greater than anyone elses in the competition. I'm not sure Sydney has that.

Interesting that a player without pace is sorely missed, just goes to show as long as the skill set is there you can become a vital cog in the machine.
