They are still a quality side and things may very well fall their way.
They are on the cushier side of the draw now. Also their uber-dud captain won't be playing next week at least, so they might actually have some semi-decent delivery off half-back now.
Daisy has already proven himself in the finals. He has been pretty crap all year, no idea why he hasn't had the blow torch applied - probably because of Dawes and Cloke
Funny thing is Cloke has had the blow torch on him yet he has kicked over 50 goals and been in the top 5 for contested marks. He is a real power forward.
FFC: Established 1883
Premierships: AFL 1954, 2016 VFA - 1898,99,1900, 1908, 1913, 1919-20, 1923-24, VFL: 2014, 2016 . Champions of Victoria 1924. AFLW - 2018.
Tarrant tried his darndest against Buddy didn't he? Was a good fight, but Tarrant had poor support.
Unfortunately for Tarrant he was punching out of his weight division and tried to use the tactics to get Buddy upset, but to Buddies credit he was very disciplined.

yeah there are stats and then there is reality though.
The reality is he kicked 16 goals in 10 games against teams in the top 8. he also took 38 marks (not only contested) in those 10 games.
As a comparison in 4 games against Ess (x2), GWS and GC he kicked 17 goals and took 43 marks.

You also have to look at the midfield performance as well, because its those guys delivering (or lack of ) to the forward line that Cloke has missed out on. Pendles missed a lot of games, Swan not as proficient as previous years, Wellingham has an average of 52% disposal efficiency. Beams has been good, but playing a lone hand and Thomas has not had a good year. They have also tried Blair and Siddebottom in the midfield with little success.

Also to Hawthorns credit they were disciplined as a team which in previous season's they wouldn't have been.

Thats fine but 16 in 10 says it all really. The fact that those 16 included a haul of 5 against WCE makes it even worse. 11 goals in 9 games, I don't care how bad your midfield is, that is just crap
Swans are squeezing the crows running style. How hard bodied are those swans. Crows will need 6-7 goals in the last. Dangerfield needs to kick 4 of them.
I can't see the Pies losing to West Coast in Melbourne even though it was 3 points difference there last time. The crowd is a huge factor.
They are on the easier side of the draw now it looks as though Sydney will win.

They will have a longer break Collingwood compared to both West Coast and North Melbourne obviously. The trip from Perth (for either West Coast or North Melbourne) is another reason why Collingwood will go in favourites.
Tonight's match Im still tipping the Cats to win but the Dockers won't make it easy for them and they have been in very good form.
"Footscray people are incredible people; so humble. I'm just so happy - ecstatic"
10 goals out of Cloke & Krak, big game by Swan, still lose by 6 goals. Their 16-22 players are not contributing anywhere near enough - this was their great strength in 2010 and even last year.
Pies were 17 from 17 with Cloke kicking 4 goals or more.
I agree the last 5 players are no longer their strength.
Guys like Thomas and Dawes aren't playing well either, and I reckon the hunger isn't quite there

Just further proves that contested ball wins finals.
O'keefe , Kennedy and Bolton outstanding
