Arty has tremendous upside. I would like to see him given a chance early.

I have to say he's gotten off to a pretty good start this preseason. 12 months back he was in the rehab group and now it's full training.
It's time for him to start delivering on his talent though. Big season for the Arty.

I think the 3 that stand out at this stage are Luke kennedy , Davidson , and Jaques a little further behind the 1st two, interesting comparison of Davidson and Bedendo , i get the althleticism comparison but concistencecy was Bedendo's problem were Davidson granted it was only 1 year we saw but he seemed to step up most weeks , Kennedy is my dark horse his running especially defensively is top notch and his disposal great both feet (memories of Lindsey Gillbee ) Jaques i think is more of a need fingers crossed this kid comes on quickly because he would be the perfect foil for the bigger guys down back, great reader of the play knows when to jump and when to stay back and has proficient disposal .

Has anyone got the inside word on Dom brew getting a spot or not ? Could be a huge addition but could also be a Robbie mcomb type at afl . Boom or bust imo

So for every list spot clubs have open they could in theory bring in 2 train on players providing you are willing to pay them 1K a week.
Carlton have multiple players training with them to take advantage of that option.
We might have also had an interest of Harry Boyd but the Saints got to him first.
Unless something changes early in Jan with someone else arriving at the club I'd say we are committed to Brew providing he stays fit.
We probably won't rush to sign him but we might.

He's got his work cut out for himself to find a spot in our midfield.

                Maybe Jaques eventually replaces Duryea?

Unfortunately Brew has been unable to train due injury so I'd imagine inside word would be that the jury is very much still out.

As for him being boom or bust, id expect maybe ny grabd expectations of a 28 year old inside mid that's never been in an AFL list "booming" to win a spot in our lineuo where he commands enough footy to rival guys like Ed Richards are unrealistic.

I think if we can get an Anthony Scott type contribution from him (minus the concussions) that would be a complete win, and honwslty if he gets bigger opportunities than that Facebook is going to riot because it will mean Garcia/Sanders won't.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

27 year old inside mid vfl player Shaun mannagh looked pretty good to my eye in a team a kick away from a grand final.

It’s worth a shot if brew can replicate something similar

I get it but if you're trying to compare a high-possession mid with a low possession but high impact half forward...

It's gonna be hard for Brew cos to be a success he needs to carve out a role in between Bont, Liber, Treloar, Richards, Kennedy, Sanders etc - you know, our best players and new boys we have invested real capital (draft capital for Sanders, Cash capital for Kennedy) in.

I think he's gone to the wrong club but hope he makes a go of it.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

The young boys are promising but I think Kenndy is a shoo-in for round one.
He is a ready made professional afl footballer, ready to go.

Hopefully Sanders gets a crack round 1. Tbh, he looks like he has muscled up a bit from what i have seen on bigfooty.

                                He's certainly done the work.
I hope he handballs a bit less in 25 and kicks the ball a bit more plus he needs to start hitting the scoreboard more.
I hope he has a really good season
