My reading is our forwards all seem to go for the ball so when it gets out of the pack Essendon run away with it with pace.

Yep I'm still not convinced by the forward structure. Naughton and Weightman doing their all-too-common disappearing act, but putting it down to interrupted preseason.Comment

Weightmans running gait looks off. Doubt he plays the 2nd half, and will be in the rehab group next week.👍 1Comment

I was so disappointed to miss this game but after watching it onnthe telly inside on the couch I know where I'd rather be.
We didn't look like we handled the conditions as well as they did and probably should have had a bigger lead from the 1st? Seems there is a bit of a wind advantage to their end but you wouldn't know from these commentators they're too busy drooling over the Essendon boys.Comment

I'm not sure we should be wringing our hands based on a practice match with nothing at stake other than potential injury. We'd be just keen to try different people in different roles, reinforce game plan tweaks...I seriously don't care if we end up getting pumped, as long as no one gets hurt.Comment

it is good just to see some footy back.

Yep agree. Missing arguably our 4 best players. New players fitting into our structure. No doubt trialling a few positional changes. Final outcome doesn’t matter too much, but as others have pointed out definitely room for improvement by some of our players and no doubt some concerns.
