I think Bevo has shown he prefers JOD over Buku. I guess he sees more in the medium/long term in JOD. I'd expect him to come in. It's a decent set of talls back there with Jones, Lobb & JOD.
I also think Croft will get the nod. We're going to be tall.
IN: Jones, JOD, Croft.
Out: Buku, Baker, A Jones.
Williams and Croft will play higher up on the wings and Jones & JOD to the backline.Comment

In your lineup, where does Davidson play? Does he move forward as a third tall or do the three of Williams, Croft and Davidson share the wing duties?I think Bevo has shown he prefers JOD over Buku. In that case I would expect Croft to be the extra given he's fairly inexperienced on the wing and has played the vast majority of his footy forward. I certainly wouldn't describe him as a genuine winger at this stage. Davidson has played almost exclusively on the wing in his first 2 games so doubt we will change that.
Chances are of course that Croft doesn't debut but I hope we see him at senior level soon.Comment

I would think Croft is a forward/Ruck or we swing him back when required. He played wing in some match sims when he was coming back from injury in the preseason.

It would but he probably only came in due to the injuries we had so when they return it seems likely he’ll make way… which is unfortunate as I too thought he was solid last Friday..Comment

I think you're one running back man light on there Mat. 4 taller defenders are a bit unlikely unless you have JOD playing some time forward or Freijah playing in the back line. In: L. Jones, J. O'Donnell

Despite his concerning form line Duryea has to play doesn't he?Last edited by GVGjr; 26-03-2025, 04:20 PM.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Duyrea has to play; he has been poor but has the credits in the bank.
At least until Freijah goes back or Jaques is ready.Comment

I see this differently. Freijah ain’t never not ever going back. If he does, it’s an admission of failure. He’s a midfielder.
Doc had his warning last year, time has not given him a get out of jail card. He cost us dearly last week. Time to move on. Khamis, Bramble, Dale & Gallagher can do the job.Comment
