Few suggestions on Twitter that McKay will miss again for Carlton.

I see this differently. Freijah ain’t never not ever going back. If he does, it’s an admission of failure. He’s a midfielder.
Doc had his warning last year, time has not given him a get out of jail card. He cost us dearly last week. Time to move on. Khamis, Bramble, Dale & Gallagher can do the job.
I rated Doc 1/10, so agree with you on his performance, but internally, they love him, can't see them moving on him yet.Comment

When you say he is never going back, even with the missing mids, he is not, and has never been 100% mid for our first 2 games, so I don't know what you mean? What failure does it admit?

After the McKay news (I hope he's doing okay btw), this is my selection:
IN: L. Jones, O'Donnell
OUT: Buku, A. Jones
If he's good to go, and seems like he is, we need to pick Jones. If you're healthy and fit, you play.
I know Carlton won't be running with a super tall forward line but I still think JOD should come in. This gives Bevo flexibility if he wants more height down back to intercept OR a third tall inside 50 if Naughty or Darcy are getting shut down OR EVEN some minutes in the ruck to keep Naughton and Darcy forward.
Buku is just unlucky, no reason he needs to be dropped and he could even play the swingman role I described of JOD. I just think Buku doesn't have the same upside.
I think Arty actually played okay the last 2 weeks but it's him or Dolan that gets dropped and I'm deciding to persist with Dolan for development plus his elite kick in traffic.
(Wildcard... if MC thinks that he's ready, Croft could come in instead of JOD. I'd love to see it because it'd increase our ceiling but could lower our floor if he's not quite ready to go)Comment

So that is why I believe we need to move forward with the next stage of his development by playing him mostly in the midfield, probably rotating through the wings. We have sufficient cover now in the back line. To not do so will limit his development and impact negatively upon our succession planning. And that, to me, is a failure.
And on the topic of succession planning, I believe the next action in fine-tuning our team structure should to move Weightman from the forward line to the midfield. I feel we're wasting his talent.

Weird that it's listed as "personal reasons".
Dan Gorringe let slip that Harry's foot is "stuffed".
Say what you want about his goal kicking, he lead the comp in contested marks a year or two ago. He's a massive out.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

For mine I actually think Buku is a better intercept mark and a better defensive spoiler, JOD is better one on one but only marginally.
With Jones back do we need two lock down defenders who can only play deep (Jones & JOD) or are we better balanced with one lock down defender (Jones) and two intercept defenders in Lobb and Buku who can both play high?

Mofra, I think you have the wrong end of the stick.
I heard some audio from the Voss press conference earlier today - definitely sounded like MH and not a physical injury.More of an In Bruges guy?Comment

Absolutely. Whilst he won’t be a FT mid he will certainly spend time there when others return. He has spent most of his time in the midfield in the 4th qtr. He is explosive and is a weapon for us when the opposition are getting tired.Comment
